Story of the changemaker
They Live A Life Of Solitude & Face Numerous Challenges Along The Way Alone
Sadhus are highly respected in Indian spirituality and culture. They live a simple lifestyle and have deep knowledge of spirituality. Their devotion to the divine inspires people to seek inner transformation and look beyond material possessions. Through their teachings and practices, they help people discover the true purpose of life.
“While everyone respects and admires sadhus, people often forget about the numerous challenges they face every single day. They have given up material possessions, including basic necessities like comfortable clothing and shelter. They live a life of solitude, brave harsh weather conditions, and even endure hunger. And they do all of this alone. I believe it is our duty to help them.” - Swami Rameshji, Founder, Shri Mateshwari Annakshetra Samiti
As winter approaches, their challenges only increase. Winters in India, especially in the northern regions, can be harsh. While some of us eagerly look forward to the joys of these months, there are thousands of sadhus who have no one to rely on to survive the cold.
This Winter, Let’s Help These Sadhus Stay Safe & Protected
The sadhus are preparing to brave the winter months with nothing but the minimal clothing they have, but this leaves them vulnerable to illness. They also struggle to get food, shelter, and more. This year, let’s make winter safe for thousands of sadhus in India.
Your support will ensure they get blankets, shawls, and sweaters and keep them warm and protected.
