But instead, I see little girls being taken away from their childhood, facing pain no child should ever endure. That’s why I fight—to give them back their dreams, their dignity, and their right to a better life.

A Fight That Began With Three Children

For Manju and her husband Ajeet, this mission started decades ago. In 1988, Ajeet, just 17 at the time, adopted three children whose mothers had no means to raise them. Years later, Guria Foundation was born, working to protect and rehabilitate girls who had been abandoned. Since 1993, their team has shut down places of harm, rescued hundreds, and fought to hold wrongdoers accountable.

Rescued, But Not Alone

Guria provides these survivors with more than just a place to heal. With art therapy, skill training, medical care, and legal aid, they help each girl reclaim her life and move forward with strength.
